Outright Purchase

If you’re ready to sell, Hillary will carefully examine your jewelry and test precious metals to assess their purity. Condition, resale potential, and current market conditions are considered where relevant, and she will explain the factors behind her offer so you can make an informed decision.

Your initial consultation is complimentary and without obligation. If you choose to accept our offer, payment is made at the time of purchase.

Consignment

We accept a limited number of select pieces for consignment, generally with an estimated resale value of $5,000 or more. Hillary evaluates each piece’s condition, current market demand, and potential selling opportunities to determine whether consignment is a suitable option.

For accepted pieces, we agree on an asking-price range, commission, and any preparation expenses before proceeding. Consignment requires a minimum six-month commitment, with the details outlined in your agreement.

Restoration

Bring treasured jewelry back to its original beauty while preserving the character that makes it special. From worn settings to damaged antique pieces and missing stones, Hillary will discuss what’s possible with your preferences and budget in mind. A quote is provided for your approval before work begins.

Redesign or Custom

Reimagine jewelry you already own into something you’ll love wearing today. It might be as simple as changing a ring’s finish from white to yellow gold, transforming a pin into a pendant, or using your diamonds in an entirely new design.

For something entirely new, Hillary will work with you to create a piece around your ideas, preferences, and budget. A quote is provided for your approval before work begins.

FAQs

Do I need paperwork or an appraisal?

No. Appraisals, diamond grading reports, receipts, or other information you already have can be helpful, but they are not essential. You’re welcome to schedule a consultation whether or not you have documentation.

Can you evaluate jewelry from photographs?

Photographs are a helpful starting point, and Hillary can offer initial guidance based on what you share. A physical examination is required before we make a purchase offer.

Can I work with you if I don’t live nearby?

Yes. We work with clients outside the Los Angeles area. Start by emailing Hillary with photographs and a little information about your pieces. Following an initial review, she’ll discuss the next steps with you and coordinate shipping arrangements if appropriate.

What if my jewelry is broken, damaged, or incomplete?

Gold, silver, and platinum can retain value even when a piece is damaged or missing stones. We welcome single earrings, broken chains, dental gold, precious-metal flatware, and other pieces for evaluation and possible purchase.

Am I required to sell my jewelry after a consultation?

Not at all. Your initial consultation is complimentary and without obligation. Hillary will help you understand your jewelry and your options so you can decide what feels right for you. There is never any pressure to sell.

Purchase offers are valid at the time they are made. If you decide to sell later, we’ll confirm an updated offer, as precious-metal prices and market conditions can change.

Why might my purchase offer differ from my appraisal?

Hillary highlights three important words in an insurance appraisal: estimated replacement retail. This is an opinion of what it might cost to replace your jewelry with a comparable piece at retail. It is not a guaranteed selling price.

A purchase offer reflects your piece’s characteristics and today’s resale market. Hillary will explain the relevant factors so you can understand the offer and consider your options.
